Main Actions for Yu Ye Tang

This TCM herbal formulas functions are to tonify the Qi while generating fluids to moisten dryness and alleviate thirst. The formula is best suited in conditions where there is a wasting thirst disorder due to kidney yin deficiency and a dry stomach. The Qi in this condition is too deficient to spread the yin fluids properly throughout the body leading to copious urination or turbid urination.

Indications and Symptoms for Yu Ye Tang

severe thirst, frequent urination or copious urination or turbid urination, shortness of breath, lassitude.

Medicinal Ingredients of Yu Ye Tang

Shan Yao (Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae, Chinese Yam, Dioscorea) - 30g.

-tonify spleen, stabilize kidney, stop excess urination, moisten lungs, generates fluids

Huang Qi (Radix Astragali Membranaceus, Milk-Vetch Root, Astragalus) - 15g.

-reduce thirst, promotes ascending spleen Qi functions

Zhi Mu (Rhizoma Anemarrhenae Asphodeloidis, Anemarrhena Rhizome) - 18g.

-nourish yin, moisten dryness

Tian Hua Fen (Radix Trichosanthis Kirilowii, Trichosanthes Root) - 9g.

-nourish yin, moisten dryness

Ji Nei Jin (Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli, Chicken Gizzrd’s Internal Lining) - 6g.

-promotes spleen transform and transport functions

Ge Gen (Radix Puerariae, Kudzu Root, Pueraria) - 4.5g.

-raises spleen yang Qi

Wu Wei Zi (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, Schisandra Fruit) - 9g.

-preserves yin, nourish fluids, stabilizes kidney essence
