Indications and Symptoms for Yi Huang Tang

long term vaginal discharge, yellow white leukorrhea, viscous and fishy smelling discharge from the vagina (fishy smelling), pale yellow complexion, dizziness, heaviness in the head, poor appetite, occasional loose stool, delayed menstruation, pale blood

Tongue – pale body, thin white coat

Pulse – soft, slippery, may be submerged

Medicinal Ingredients of Yi Huang Tang

Chao ShanYao    (Dry Fried Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae, Chinese Yam, Dioscorea)  - 30g.

-tonify spleen, stabilize lower jiao and essence

Chao Qian Shi   (Dry Fried Semen Euryales Ferocis Euryale Seeds) – 30g.

-stabilize lower jiao, stops vaginal discharge, mildly tonify spleen Qi

Huang Bai   (Cortex Phellodendri, Amur Cork Tree Bark, Phellodendron) - 6g.

-drains damp heat from lower jiao through urine

Che Qian Zi   (Semen Plantaginis, Plantago Seeds) - 3g.

- drains damp heat from lower jiao through urine

Yin Xing   (Semen Ginkgo Bilobae, Ginkgo Nut) - 10 Kernels

-stabilize lower jiao, stops vaginal discharge
