Main Actions for Xiao Luo Wan

The main functions of this TCM herbal formula are to clear heat and transform phlegm to eliminate nodules. This traditional chinese medicine formula is most appropriately used to treat liver and kidney yin deficiency fire giving rise to phlegm.  This deficiency fire and phlegm produces stagnation in the neck area (known as scrofula in chinese medicine).

Nodules on the neck, hard lumps, rubbery when palpated, dry mouth, dry throat

Tongue – red body

Pulse – rapid, slippery or wiry

Medicinal Ingredients of Xiao Luo Wan

Xuan Shen   (Radix Scrophulariae, Ningpoensis) - 120g.

-eliminates fire, eliminates problems related to throat and neck

Mu Li   (Concha Ostreae  - 120g.

-soften hardness, eliminates hard masses

Zhe Bei Mu  (Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii)   - 120g.

-clears heat, eliminates nodules, clears phlegm

Preparation Instructions of Xiao Luo Wan

When preparing this natural herbal formula all the ingredients should be ground into a fine powder and formed into pills with honey.  Each dosage should be approximately 9 grams and taken 2-3 times per day.  This TCM herbal formula may also be prepared in a decoction using 9-12 grams of each natural ingredient.
