Medicinal Ingredients of Wen Dan Tang

Zhu Ru   (Caulis Bambusae in Taeniis, Bamboo Shavings) - 6g.

-clear heat and phlegm from the gallbladder and stomach, direct rebel Qi downwards

Zhi Shi   (Fructus Immaturus Citri Aurantii, Immature Fruit of Bitter Orange) - 6g.

-direct rebellious Qi downwards, relieves focal distention

Ban Xia   (Rhizoma Pinelliae Tematae, Pinellia Rhizome) - 6g.

-dries dampness, expels phlegm, regulate and harmonize middle jiao Qi

Chen Pi   (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Tangerine Peel, Citrus) - 9g.

-dries dampness, expels phlegm, regulates and harmonizes middle jiao Qi

Fu Ling   (Sclerotium Poriae Cocos, China Root, Poria, Hoelen) - 4.5g.

-tonify spleen Qi, drains dampness, harmonizes middle jiao, calm spirit

Gan Cao   (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Licorice Root) - 3g.

-tonify spleen Qi, drain dampness, harmonize middle jiao and calm spirit

Sheng Jiang   (Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens, Fresh Ginger Rhizome) - 3-6g.

-regulates gallblader and stomach, stops vomiting

When preparing this natural chinese medicine formula Da Zao  (Fructus Zizyphi Jujubae) is usually added.  This chinese medicine formula is also available in prepared form.
