Lian Qiao (Fructus forsythiae Suspensae, Forsythia Fruit) 4.5g.

Bo He (Herba Menthae Haplocalycis, Field Mint, Mentha)  2.4 g.

-release the exterior

Jie Geng (Radix Platycodi Grandiflori, Balloon Flower Root, Platycodon)  6g.

Xing Ren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae, Apricot Seed (kernel))  6g.

Preparation Instructions of Sang Ju Yin

When cooking this chinese medicine herbal formula add Bo He near the end.  All herbal ingredients should be cooked for less than 20 minutes (with exception of Bo He (mint))

Additional Points on Sang Ju Yin

This TCM herbal formula was designed to treat mild exterior wind heat disorders with coughing as the main symptom.  This formula is very similar to that of Yin Qiao San but is less effective for treating a cough due to wind heat.

Upper respiratory tract infection, influenza, early stage acute b ronchitis, acute tonsillitis and acute conjunctivitis can all be treated with this herbal formula.
