Medicinal Ingredients of Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang

Sang Ye   (Follium Mori Albae, White Mulberry Leaf) - 9g.

-clears heat, disperse lung dryness

Shi Gao   (Gypsum, Gypsum) - 7.5g.

-clears lung and stomach heat, relieves thirst

Mai Men Dong   (Tuber Ophiopogonis Japonici, Ophiopogon Tuber) - 3.6g.

-nourish lung yin

E Jiao   (Gelatinum Corii Asioni, Ass-hide Glue, Gelatin) - 2.4g.

-nourish lung yin

Hei Zhi Ma   (Semen Sesami Indici, Black Sesame Seeds) - 3g.

-nourish lung yin

Xing Ren   (Semen Pruni Armeniacae, Apricot Seed or Kernel) - 2.1g.

-stop rebel lung Qi, relieve cough, promote lung Qi descending function

Mi ZhiPi Pa Ye   (Honey Fried Folium Eriobotryae Japonicae, Loquat Leaf, Eriobotrya) - 3g.

Preparation Instructions of Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang

This Chinese Medicine herbal formula may substitute Sha Shen (Radix Adenophorae seu Glehniae, Adenophora, Glehnia Root)  or Hai Er Shen (Radix Pseudostellariae Heterophyllae) in place of Ginseng (Ginseng Root) by doubling their dosages.

Additional Points on Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang

This herbal formula is generally used for patient who have been exposed to severe dry conditions due their environment which includes both indoor or outdoor environments.  Qing Zao Jiu Fei Tang is stronger than Sang Xing Tang (Mulberry Leaf and Apricot Kernel Decoction) which is primarily used for less superficial conditions. 

This alternative medicine herbal formula has been used to treat such diseases as upper respiratory tract infections, influenza, acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia and pertussis when the appropriate symptoms are present.
