A Question About Ci Shi

I'm PJ, the new guy. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I am supposed to consume the magnetitum that I ordered from a website. This is the toasted magnetite where it is basically in granulated form (plum flower brand). They are almost like small pebbles.... how exactly am I supposed to eat this? Do I put it in some solution for it to dissolve, or how do I do this?

A thought on research vs. healing (based on recent debate on IVF research)

I was asked to post this to CMT by Spence, after I sent it out to ABORM as a group. The debate rages on in the research community about whether acupuncture can really help IVF patients or not. The political movement trying to discredit acupuncture also continues, and will play on eternally. The text below was something I wrote in response to some consternation about two things: the recent Danish study that "proves" acupuncture does nothing for IVF patients, and the upcoming discussion at ASRM spearheaded by Alice Domar trying to discredit acupuncture as a valid IVF support method. Enjoy, and would love to hear your comments:

I would like to chime in on this and I hope that everyone will read what I have to say and at least give it some thought.

Progesterone and Tiredness

Hello all :),...I have a patient who is also a gynecologist (it's fun!) and we were talking today about progesterone.  She told me that she always feels tired in the second half of her cycle and that this is because of the sedative effect that progesterone has on the central nervous system.  (Whether or not she actually feels tired or has a deep seated belief that she should feel tire

Automatic herb cooking and packaging machines

I am curious about the herb cooking machines that automatically package the decoction into plastic bags. Do you have one and like it? Are they worth the money? what advice would you give to someone who is looking to buy one?

Thank you
