Insufficient Lactation

Ryan's picture

I am in the middle of watching a DVD series of Steven Clavey

he talks briefly on insufficiant lactation and the effectiveness of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicinals.

A few of the acupuncture points he talks about are
Ren 17 (pointing toward each breast for approx 10 min),
ST 18 (shallow insertion towards the midline
SI 1
A treatment plan consists of 7 acupuncture treatments performed every day or every other day. Research has also shown that acupuncture done at 1o'clock in the afternoon is the most effective time for treatment !

Steven Clavey believes that Acupuncture is better at treating this condition when stress/tension/poor diet are the cause but herbs are a better treatment when the causation is from deficient blood (constitutionally or from giving birth)

another great Nutritional gift from Bob Flaws is a nourishing soup made from ham (traditionally pigs feet), papaya and peanuts.
