I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (Honours) in Applied Human Nutrition. After my four years of study in Guelph, I realized there was more to health and wellness than nutrition alone and embarked on the journey towards becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. After four years of further study at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, I am now a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor practicing out of two clinics in downtown Toronto.
I have an eclectic naturopathic practice and although I use clinical nutrition as a foundation for every individual I work with, I regularly incorporate homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and lifestyle counseling as per the needs of each individual. I am strongly passionate about the fertility challenges that are sadly becoming more common place in our society, and have a special interest in addressing fertility, prenatal, pregnancy, and pediatric health. I have experience in helping couples successfully conceive naturally and often work in tandem with those using Assisted Reproductive Technology or In Vitro Fertilization.
I am passionate about teaching and educating both my patients and the general public about naturopathic medicine and health, and frequently offer seminars within the downtown Toronto community. Past seminar topics include Prenatal Health, Food Allergies, A Naturopathic Approach to Cold and Flu, Secrets to Work-Life Balance, and Attention Deficit Disorder. I have experience in work place wellness and am available for speaking engagements on an institutional or corporate level. I am also dedicated to the development of future health care practitioners and teach courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Allergies, and Pathology at several schools in the Greater Toronto Area.
I am an active member of the Canadian Association for Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and Association for Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND) and a past member of the Ontario Association for Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
I am committed to empowering my patients to take responsibility for their health, and I provide them with the resources necessary to achieve both their short and long term health care goals.
