Katia Durand- Acupuncture specialist & Chinese herbalist

Katia Durand is a graduate of Bastyr University where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Health Sciences and a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture. Additionally, she holds a post-graduate certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and licensed as an acupuncturist in the state of Washington.

Katia is the owner & director of Bodhicitta Healing Center, a multi-modality alternative health clinic in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Located in this beautiful and peaceful healing center, is Katia's private practice Jade River Healing Arts. Practicing alongside other like-mined professionals gives her the ability to offer her clients an integrative approach to health care.

In her practice Katia combines the ancient theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine with her intuitive skills. Katia customizes each treatment to provide a holistic approach toward optimal health. She commonly incorporates other treatment modalities to help her patients such as; cupping, moxabustion, tui na massage, Chinese herbal medicine, tuning forks, infrared therapy, and dietary & lifestyle advice.

Katia is an energetic healer who is passionate about her work. She is deeply committed to bringing inspiration and healing to her patients. Katia treats a wide variety of conditions and enjoys working with every member of the family. She has a special interest in women’s health, infertility and psychological/emotional wellness. Her patients appreciate her thorough, caring, and ‘down to earth’ nature.
