Treating Infertility/Sperm Quality during Radiation therapy.

I have a bit of a challenging situation that I'm hoping someone had previous experience with & can advise.

A late-20s couple has just started seeing me for infertility/female menstrual cycle problems.  Male partner came in for me to do pulse diagnosis & evaluate need for herbs and/or acupuncture.  I found out at this appt that he is beginning 6 weeks of 5x/week radiaition to his forehead to remove cancer found at end of a nerve, following Mohs surgery to remove skin cancer.

How much will this localized radiation impact his sperm?  My first response was to tell them better to wait, but they insist their MD says localized radiation will not negatively impact sperm.

Thoughts? Ideas? Experience?

I'm leary of giving him anything except a multi, until he's done.

T: Dark with red edges & dark sublinguals.

P: (R) Thin, deep, very little jump... almost feeble. (L) Deep, weak, Adrenal fatigue, damp.

Thanks!

Sperm should be ok

I agree with the doc, that the sperm should be ok through this procedure. That said, an option would be to freeze some of his sperm asap, just as an insurance policy.

Thanks for your response

Thanks for your response.  I will stay the course with his wife, and keep him on Al's Formula multi for duration of radiation.

We live in a small mountain town without Assisted Reproductive procedures available. It's natural or IUI, unless they drive 100 miles to Denver.  So other than a sperm analysis, these folks have few options.

Would you suggest adding organic greens to his diet to keep acidity down during radiation?  He does have a fairly strong family history of various types of cancer.

Thanks again for your input.
