Chong Mai

Chong Mai (Pennetrating Vessel)

Typical sign of rebellious Qi in the Ching Mai
• Hot feeling in the face and coldness in the feet is a key sign. It is a result of the path way. A channel actually goes down the leg and splits near the medial malleous and ends up at Liv-3 and Kd Channel (near K-1) It is the only Yin channel that goes down the leg, the other 3 foot yin channels go up the leg.

Interesting, In Giovani's new extra ordinary channel book he discusses how the chong is more related to regulating the menstrual cycle (and menstrual irregularities) and the Ren mai is more for fertility. Since we always regulate the cycle as a treatment plan for infertility it still warrants its use.

Liver depression Qi stagnation...

Seems like a lot of the s&s that go along with the chong mai are congruent with LR Qi stag? lots of pain and fullness, distension etc..
Also, the herbs he speaks of either course the Qi Blood, or warm and course.
Acu points seem to point in that direction also (chong mai and Liver).
Would this be similar pathogenesis in NVP?
