Blocked Sinuses with Headache
42 year old male
CC: Blocked sinuses with headache
 The patient had an operation on the sinuses 12 years ago with no success. The patient also had numerous rounds of antibiotics from his family doctor. He was told that he was having repeated sinus infections.
He felt a pressing sensation on the right side above the right eye, and below both eyes. Headache in the vertex and base of the skull which can be shooting in nature.
On observasion, we can see that his eyes are puffy. The patient complains that his vision can sometimes be blurry.
His sinuses have bothered him since he was a kid. His brother suffers from a similar condition. He is "not sure if he has any pet/ pollen allergies". Red wine makes his condition worse. BM, digestion, urination are normal.
The patient sweats alot both day and night. He sometimes coughs up green phelgm in the morning. His sinus discharge is also greenish in color. Easy to get chilled at night. Works in a hot kitchen most of the day.
When he exercises, he quickly becomes short of breath, and his energy is often low. At night, he has a difficult time to fall asleep and usually nods off around 11:30pm.
Pulse: slippery and soft
Tongue: red with slight yellowish coating
