Man & Pregnancy: week 18

Baby is 5.5 inches or 15cm from rump to crown. We are going to get a detailed ultrasound so that we can see if all the organs are developing normally. I am told this is a 'do not miss' ultrasound as you will truly see your baby just hangin' out in mom,...it is now clear that you are having a baby, not an alien. Also, this is the time that you can see the baby's genitals if you so desire, so if you do not, be sure and tell the ultrasound tech. That raises the question,...do you want to know the sex of the child? It seems like everyone has been asking us if we are going to find out,...I am leaving it up to the queen, and it seems that she does not want to know. She has heard that if you do not find out there is more incentive to push as there is more desire to see who and what is coming down the pipe (birth canal).

The queen continues to grow, and therefore so does her need for reassurance of my love and the fact that I still find her extremely beautiful, maybe more so than ever. She needs some new clothes and let her embrace this, there are some pretty sexy maternity outfits out there,...

The queen is starting to find it more difficult to lay on her belly, this is a little frustrating so maybe some more massages (especially the legs to help reduce the chance of swelling) before bed is in order. I find this also helps get some love flowing!

One last little note; we are seeing the midwife next week and I am a little nervous about the triple screen results,...suck it up and keep a brave face so the queen rests easy,...the age old role of the MAN in a family.

Love and happiness are overflowing,...this is so special.
