Hydrosalpinx, IVF and herbs

Hi my experience has been to use LuLuTong and ChuanShanJia to open up the qi obstruction in the fallopian tubes, other herbs as simple as chenpi can be added to move fluid as well. As with all patients treat their pattern(s).

I attended Jane Lyttleton's Pro-D Seminar last year. She gave us a Fx for hydrosalpinx:
Dang Gui, Chi Shao, Xiang Fu, Zhu Ling, Ma Bian Cao, Tao Ren, Hong Hua, Zao Jiao Ci, Lu Lu Tong, Fu Ling, Chuan Shan Jia, Hong Teng, Ze Xie, Wang Bu Liu Xing, and Zhi Ke

I have used this for a patient who will be doing an IVF later this year. After the course of this particular tx she had less ovulatory pain, and her greasy tongue coating was almost completely gone.

The herbal treatments are quite valuable. However, I have found that even though the fluid can be diminished with the herbal treatments, the IVF drugs are extremely strong and can aggravate the hydrosalpinx which makes them enlarge and potentially impede implantation (due to the proposed 'toxic fluid'). Please keep us posted on your patient's progress.

Would you share with us the dosages for the herbs in the Fx for hydrosalpinx? I find this more challenging than the tubes blocked with scar tissue and would love to try this formula.

Good Morning Everyone,

If I remember correctly just the herbs in the Fx were given to us. During the seminar someone had asked a question regarding hydrosalpinx, and she listed the herbs she uses. I have used the Fx once, and assigned doses based on the patients presenting patterns. Sorry, not much help with the doses. You may be able to get in touch with Jane and ask.
