JOB SUMMARY: To provide acupuncture to clients enrolled in the Acupuncture for Chemically Dependent Pregnant Women study conducted at BC Women's Hospital. Major responsibilities include: acting as liaison to ensure ongoing and current communication between staff and participants on study progress; distributing and collecting study data forms prior to treatment; administering acupuncture according to NADA protocols for drug addiction; supervising clients in removal of acupuncture needles; and performing other related duties. QUALIFICATIONS: BC Acupuncture licence plus minimum five years of related experience. Experience working with chemically dependent women. Experience with NADA protocols for drug addiction. Computer experience required. Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
