I have a IVF patient who is 8 weeks pregnant and suffering from fairly severe probably progesterone induced constipation. The acupuncture and herbs and nutrition advice I am giving her are not working that well. She is generally Blood deficient, with Qi stagnation and some heat. I am reluctant to hit her too hard with herbs (eg. da huang). Any body have experience with using herbs for this?

It recently came to my attention that there are at least two organization of the Yang channels in 6 level diagnosis. Tai Yang Yang Ming Shao Yang and Tai Yang Shao Yang Yang Ming Does anyone have any comments or can explain why you would use one organization over the other? thanks Kaleb
