Endometriosis and Chinese Herbs - First study of its kind, Andrew Flower

The clinical trial is gently trundling along. I've got 30 people enrolled so far and we will ideally get another 10 before we stop recruitment at the beginning of April. It will be the end of August before we break the randomization code and find out who is in which group. However this study is only a feasibility study-it will not in any way be definitive. We will only be able to suggest that CHM may or may not be useful in the treatment of endometriosis. What is perhaps most interesting about what we are doing is it is the first attempt (in the world we think!) to evaluate individualized herbal decoctions within the framework of a double blind RCT. This methodology could be fairly easily reproduced by other researchers into CHM.
