I have recently ordered Dr. Huangs book on the formula families and am very excited to read it and dive deeper into his truly revolutionary work.

I am filming his 7 day seminar in August. If it all works out with editing and copy right with Dr Huang and Sharon I will be offering it through Pro D Seminars as a distance learning course. I think it is great that some of these masters and "old" doctors are coming over from China to North America and sharing their clinical success with us. I too am looking into learning more about the Shang Han formulas. There is another 3 day course in Santa Monika on Gynecology by another great doctor that I am attending in August. I have been told she is also well versed in the Shang Han Lun. I love studying our medicine as much as I do practicing. So i am excited and greatful I have the opportunity this summer to learn from two great docs.
Dr Huang's book

The book is still in Chinese, but Michael Max in Seattle is currently translating it. He said he should be done next year.
Dr. Huang also has a website with more articles, but again it is only in Chinese.
I think that we should have some sort of Shang Han study group here in Vancouver, where we could meet every month or two to talk cold damage. Oh yeah!

Shang Han Lun group - video meeting

We can start one here on CMT. Spence tells me that probably by July CMT will have a new look plus some advanced features for video conferencing. And as usual, most features on CMT are free for practitioners. Oh Yeah! If this comes to fruition then we do not have to worry about travel, parking or what kind of foot print we are leaving (plus gas is crazy expensive). We can sit in our underwear and gave great conversations online.... just make sure the camera is only pointed at your head :o)

Wen Jing Body type
I really enjoyed this article. I have actually read through in detail at least 5 times. One was to come up with some questions for my interview with Sharon. I am excited to attend the seminar with Dr Huang Huang organized by Sharon in August. I will do my best to share all the clinical pearls I take away from the 7 day seminar.
I have had a chance to use this formula over the past 2 months on several women with different gynecological complaints and infertility issues. It is still a little early to tell how effective Wen Jing Tang has been for me in clinic when used for the correct pattern. I should know soon though as some will have been on a modified wen Jing tang long enough to expect results. My point here is reading Wen Jing Tang and thinking about the formula in more depth has made me more conscious as a practitioner. It has made even more curious and to watch more closely which treatment strategies are effective and which ones are not. And if not effective was it my diagnosis that was off.
I really learned from this article and interview (http://www.chinesemedicinetools.com/audio-podcasts/sharon-weizenbaum/sharon-weisenbaum-wen-jing-tang) that Wen Jing Tang is as much a nourishing blood and Yin formula as it is for dispersing Stasis from cold.
