Anal Fisure

An Acute longitudinal tear or chronic ulcer in the anal canal.

 

The fissures will cause pain and bleeding around the anus with defecation.  Anal fisures are commonly accompanied by constipation. The pain will typically occur shortly after or during a bowel movement and can last for several hours post defecation.
