Xiang Fu (Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi, Nut Grass Rhizome, Cyperus) 180g.

Ai Ye (Folium Artemisiae Argyi, Mugwort Leaf, Artemesia, Moxa) 90g.

-warm – warms uterus, stops bleeding, calms fetus, expels cold

Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Chinese Angelica Root, Tang-kuei) 90g.

-warm, sweet – tonifies blood, moves blood

Preparation Instructions of Ai Fu Nuan Gong Wan

grind all ingredients into powder and form into pills with rice vinegar (aids blood invigorating action). This prepared TCM formula should be taken in 6 gram doses with a vinegar solution.

This TCM formula is a modified version of Si Wu Tang. It is most commonly taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy when the above symptoms are present.
